“DNA” by Yrsa Sigurðardóttir Bebika, 23. February 2020.23. February 2020. Yrsa Sigurðardóttir is an Icelandic writer, of both crime-novels and children’s fiction. Novel “DNA” is first in her Children’s House series and is one of the best crime stories that I have read in the last few months. Main characters are a police inspector Huldar and child psychologist Freya, who has to cooperate to find the murderer of a young woman whose seven-year-old daughter witnessed the crime. As time goes by, other people get murdered and up until the end, you can not tell who might be the killer. The novel is well written, dynamic, without unnecessary fatiguing parts and with lots of characters whose connection is not clear until the end, which underscores the mastery of this writer justifiably rewarded. The novel is for every recommendation to fans of the genre, and I hope that some more in the series of cases of this accidentally connected couple will come soon in Serbia.
